"Tithings for Canterbury""Tithings for Canterbury" is an exciting, cooperative and bonding ministry, designed as a global outreach to Canterbury Cathedral… our Mother Church… and, orchestrated by Canterbury Pewter of Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA. Under this program, on all purchases of Canterbury Pewter’s “Canterbury Collection” by Anglican/Episcopal institutions, dioceses, parishes, and clergy, a tithe, or 10%, will be donated to Canterbury Cathedral in the buyers name… a win/win for everyone! And, yes... you and your parish can make a difference!
Important words from Canterbury Cathedral on the use of these funds... Words from the Dean & Chapter of Canterbury: Within the ancient Precincts of Canterbury Cathedral has arisen the modern International Study Centre, built to fulfill the long-held vision of the Dean & Chapter to
enhance the Anglican Communion and underwritten by the magnificent support of Anglicans from around the world. The Centre is fully operational and aims, as a facility of the Mother Church of the Communion, to bring together people from all around the world to live and study together in the shadow of St Augustine’s great Cathedral. Over 100 Canterbury Scholars have already passed through its doors. The Dean & Chapter of Canterbury have decided that the generous donations made to the Cathedral through the “Tithings for Canterbury “ cooperative outreach created by Canterbury Pewter would be ideally suited to support the scholarship endowment fund. They will therefore dedicate all such receipts to this purpose, enabling individuals from the whole Anglican Communion to share in the broadening programs run by the International Study Centre.
And, on all such purchases 10% of your purchase will be donated to Canterbury Cathedral in your name.
We would like very much to add you, your institution, Do join us in this exciting, cooperative, and bonding ministry. | ||||||
